Boyfriend accuses his girlfriend of calling his cat ugly, she gets chewed out online, only for him to admit that the couple chose the "aggressive" cat whose face is half-paralyzed together: 'He's so loved and appreciated'

In our defense… we have seen a whole lot of stories about cats coming in between people in relationships. We really have. We've seen people unable to handle being "second" to the cat in relationships. We have seen people tell their partners that it's either them or the cat. We have even seen people - uneducated, strange, inconsiderate people - call their partners unhygienic because of their cats - because kissing their little foreheads is apparently gross or something. It happens. It happens all the time, and people break up with their partners because of pets all the time too. 

So, when we saw a viral post online about a boyfriend telling the world that his girlfriend calls his cat ugly… we believed it. We didn't think it could turn out to be one of the most wholesome stories that we have seen in a while. We are glad that we were fooled. We are glad that we were surprised. And we are so glad for this cat, who could have been stuck in a shelter for many more years, that he found loving owners like these two.

  • Oh, we were so duped. We, too, believed this caption, and we, too, adorned our capes and were so ready to defend the cat and tell you to reconsider your choice in partner. But we were fooled. And we're glad that we were. The story is much more wholesome this way.

    seilby OP Yeah haha, she picked him out at the shelter, he was separated from the other cats because of "aggression" We both have a soft spot for the rejected or disabled animals so we had to bring him home. He now lives happily along side 2 dogs and our other cat, his best friend, and couldn't be more happy.

    Humphrey can produce some hilarious facial expressions because half of his face is paralyzed so as a joke she calls him ugly. I assure you he's so loved and appreciated ☺

  • Really, more couples like this one would be an amazing thing. So few people are willing to adopt cats like this, but these cats deserve to be adopted. They deserve a chance just like any other one. And yes, we can clearly see how loved he is, and it's beautiful.
